CBD Collagen Balls

IMG_3696What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?  CBD is a huge trend in the health world right now and seems to be popping up everywhere! This natural non-psychoactive cannabis derivative has major healing potential from calming anxiety to minimizing inflammation and has been used as a healing medicine for thousands of years. I started using CBD about 3 years ago as a way to decompress after a stressful day and reduce anxiety. The great thing about CBD is you get the benefits of THC without the psychoactive effects. I recently saw this recipe on shutthekale up and had to try them. I ate one last night and slept like a baby.

***I am only writing you based on my experience with CBD. It is important you know where you are getting it from and what exactly is inside of it as some are mixed with THC. Do your own research before purchasing!

CBD Collagen Balls

1C coconut flour

2C almond flour

2C sprouted nuts (I used macadamia nuts almond nuts)

1C medjool dates

1/2 TBSP CBD oil

2 scoops vital proteins collagen

1/2C coconut oil

1tsp vanilla extract

1tsp almond extract

Cinnamon to taste

*add nut milk if too dry (I used Forager cashew milk)

Add everything into food processor and pulse until combined. Roll into balls and freeze for about an hour before eating.

***recipe notes: I cut this recipe in thirds and it still made 11 balls! I also topped mine with bee pollen, cacao nibs and coconut shavings to add a little something!
